For Consumer-Connectable Products
- Purpose
EGO is committed to maintaining the security and integrity of its consumer-connectable products. This Product Security Support Policy explains how EGO provides security updates and defines a security support period for applicable products, in line with the UK Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) regulations. - Scope
This policy applies to the following EGO consumer-connectable products sold in the UK market (the respective security period appears in brackets next to each model number):- RMR1500E (Security support period 01.02.2026 to 30.01.2029)
- RMR3000E (Security support period 01.02.2026 to 30.01.2029)
- RMR6000E (Security support period 01.02.2026 to 30.01.2029)
- RM2000E (Security support period 01.02.2025 to 30.01.2028)
- RM4000E (Security support period 01.02.2025 to 30.01.2028)
- Security Updates
EGO will make reasonable efforts to provide security updates for applicable products. Security updates may include, but are not limited to:- Fixes for identified security vulnerabilities
- Security patches
- Improvements to security-related functionality
- Updates required to address emerging security risks
- Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA), where supported
- Other appropriate update mechanisms, depending on product design
- Security Support Period
For the products listed above, EGO provides security updates for a period of 3 years from the date of manufacture.
Security updates will be delivered remotely during the security support period. The security support period will not be shortened once established for a product. - Extension of Support Period
EGO may, at its discretion, extend the security support period for certain products or product variants. If the security support period is extended, EGO will publicly announce the revised support period through appropriate channels. - End of Security Support
After the security support period has ended:- EGO does not guarantee the availability of further security updates
- The product may continue to function but may no longer receive fixes for newly discovered security vulnerabilities
- Vulnerability Reporting
EGO encourages responsible disclosure of security vulnerabilities.
If you believe you have identified a security vulnerability in an EGO product, please report it through EGO’s designated support or security contact channels. Please email eu.support@egopowerplus.eu in the first instance. EGO will send an email within 5 working days and continue to follow up and provide updates on the progress of the vulnerability resolution until it is fixed. - Policy Updates
This Product Security Support Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect regulatory changes, product developments, or improvements in security practices. The latest version will be made available through EGO’s official channels at www.egorobotmowers.eu/en-gb/product-security-support-policy .
